摘自 音樂時代-唱片購買指南 : 本唱片收錄的仕女音樂,是專給名門閨秀演唱的。全部以典雅的古英語演唱,作曲者是男性,免不了有一些「窠臼」。內容大致可分三類:一是有宗教意味的,二是憂鬱感傷的,三是輕鬆開懷的。聽起來都清幽悅耳,沒有浪漫誇張的表情變化,音域也可說相當窄,令人覺得詳和忘憂。女高音柯克比可說是英國古曲的專家,她在《彌賽亞》中的表現也令人驚為天籟。 音色透明清澈,不像花腔女高音那種濃稠帶香水味,咬字與長音尾韻堪稱一絕。錄音是笛卡公司的一貫高水準,當發燒片來聽也未嘗不可。(楊忠衡)
