摘自 佳佳唱片 網站 : 綾戶智繪，1957年9月10日出生於大阪，3歲開始學古典鋼琴，中學時在教堂參加唱詩班，晚上在各種俱樂部演奏。
大阪世界博覽會合大量西方文化的接觸促使她於17歲去了美國。這裡要說明的是，她家不是有錢人，她去美國不是拿留學簽證，還好那時美國移民局管得不算太嚴，她在美國靠打工維持，借宿在朋友家裡，並輾轉在各個爵士酒吧，曾經有機會和很多高手一起演奏。
她在美國結婚後離婚，1991年回到日本，從事過翻譯、導遊、爵士樂教師等等；1998年，也就是她40歲時，正式出版了第一張專輯「For All We Know」。現在每年出版2張CD，舉辦100多場演唱會。據說是現在日本最難買到票的歌手。
