普羅高菲夫的交響協奏曲原來是一闕大提琴協奏曲,可是,由於首演大提琴
家的不適應,以及作曲家本人過於澄澈的交響質感,使得大提琴音色和樂團
的特性無法充份發揮,這首大提琴協奏曲被冷漠了九年之久,直到羅斯托波
維奇以他獨特的觀點重新批露作品的美感,作曲家終於決定將此曲重譜,在
新譜中,普羅高菲夫重新整視自己對大提琴協演奏的技術與開發性,在羅斯
托波維奇的幫助,這首作品成了第二號大提琴協奏,最後,在作曲家臨終前
,又褪化成交響協奏曲,在曲中普羅高菲夫的海頓遺風突顯,柴可夫斯基的
如歌的行板出自他的第一號弦樂四重奏的第二樂章,是曾令托爾斯泰落淚的
名作,羅可可變奏曲則是柴氏少數明亮、愉快的作品是音樂會常演奏的名曲
