拉賓Michael Rabin，美國小提琴家，1936年生於紐約，1972年逝世於同地，他的父親是紐約愛樂的小提琴手，其母親為鋼琴家，從小受到極好薰陶，幼年與父親習琴，聰惠天才，九歲時就考入珠利亞學院，師事大師伊凡加拉米安，在名師調教下成為優秀小提琴家，他在11歲就能公開演出，而且獲得藝評家很高的讚賞，1950年十四歲的拉賓就在卡內基音樂廳演出，她的技巧精湛而輝煌，其老師曾說：拉賓是他最棒的學生，最聰明及最天才而無缺點的演奏家。
以演奏技巧來說比帕爾曼更加完美，無懈可擊的。而在音樂表現也是豐富無比的。但後來因染上毒癮而愈下，1972年在家中毒癮復發而跌倒碰撞到頭部而死亡。
本片是他二十歲時的優美錄音，貝多芬，佛瑞，帕格尼尼等名曲，樂友們可享受一下這位天才橫溢英年早逝小提琴家的拉奏。
