【關於音樂劇】人類歷史上最偉大的音樂劇作家Andrew Lloyd Webber/安德烈洛依韋伯，不僅發表許多膾炙人口的名劇，更提拔不少實力雄厚的主要演員，這回他改編美國童書作家L. Frank Baum於1900年發表的兒童文學經典「綠野仙蹤/The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz」，再度邀請大小朋友們和桃樂蒂、稻草人、錫鐵人、獅子一起體驗這場奇幻冒險！1986年和Sarah Brightman領銜主演「歌劇魅影」的男主角Michael Crawford前來坐鎮「大巫師」要角，韋伯同時請來老搭檔Tim Rice共同量身打造數首新歌。比照先前「約瑟夫和奇異的夢幻彩衣/Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat」、「真善美/The Sound Of Music」等劇的模式，協同BBC聯合舉辦「Over The Rainbow」實境歌唱選秀節目，以最後甄選出的新人擔任女主角「桃樂蒂」，經過激烈的賽事，由年僅18歲的Danielle Hope脫穎而出。
