一同來歡慶百老匯最偉大的傳說－音樂劇大師史蒂芬．桑德海姆八十歲生日音樂會吧！為了慶祝這位當代作詞作曲的音樂劇大師，許多曾經共同合作的閃亮巨星紛紛聚首，共同演唱25首大師音樂生涯最動人的歌曲。這些雋永的歌曲較難有機會被聽到，而且其中有許多是來自原本百老匯的原聲重現。大衛海德皮爾斯擔任演唱會主持人，而史蒂芬的長期合作伙伴保羅吉梅諾則負責擔任紐約愛樂的指揮。
本片於2010年3月在紐約艾力費雪音樂廳拍攝完成。

A celebration of the life and work of one of Broadway's greatest legends, Stephen Sondheim. For the composer and lyricist's 80th birthday in March 2010, many of musical theater's brightest stars gathered to perform more than two dozen numbers from Sondheim's illustrious career.
