歌聲暖透人心、被譽為『心靈捕手』的喬許葛洛班（Josh Groban），繼2013年的“無限共鳴”之後，睽違兩年，於2015年4月推出了他的第七張個人專輯“美聲舞台：百老匯名曲禮讚”。這不僅是他加入華納唱片後的長久願望實現，更是透過重新詮釋百老匯史上最精采的經典歌曲，獻給所有歌迷之愛的禮讚。
音樂劇影響喬許既深且遠，過去無論是專輯或演唱會，他經常詮釋這些膾炙人口的百老匯歌曲，畢竟這些旋律是伴隨他成長的重要關鍵。最早喬許的興趣在於演戲，但12歲時，父母送他參加音樂夏令營改變一生，所參與的第一齣音樂劇，正是美國音樂劇大師桑罕的《瘋狂理髮師》，因此喬許在專輯中演唱了此劇最具魅力的「Not While I’m Around」。
17歲時，在聲樂老師的力薦下，喬許錄製了一首demo帶給超級製作人大衛佛斯特聆聽，這首歌正是韋伯名劇《歌劇魅影》中的「All I Ask of You」。大衛佛斯特聽過後，立刻邀請他在加州州長就職典禮與葛萊美獎頒獎典禮獻唱，打開了喬許輝煌的歌唱事業。在這張專輯中，喬許邀請自【美國偶像】歌唱比賽出身的凱莉克萊森（Kelly Clarkson）共同詮釋這首動人的二重唱。
“美聲舞台：百老匯名曲禮讚”的開場曲「Pure Imagination」出自於著名電影《巧克力冒險工廠》的插曲，喬許幼時經常反覆觀賞老牌演員金懷德（Gene Wilder）所主演的電影，成為他難忘的童年記往，於是在本輯中「硬性要求」錄製威力旺卡這首保有赤子之心的歌曲。同時，專輯中所挑選的歌曲更是所有人的美好回憶，包括百老匯黃金時期理查羅傑斯與漢姆斯坦二世最經典的《旋轉木馬》，特別請來史上贏得最多座東尼獎的音樂劇天后奧德拉麥唐娜（Audra McDonald）合唱「If I Loved You」。
喬許成名後定居在紐約，在百老匯結識了許多劇場朋友，而他與音樂劇最親密的距離，就是2003年在紐約與2008年在倫敦參與提姆萊斯之大型音樂會《棋王》演出。喬許飾演俄羅斯棋王，完美程度讓提姆萊斯認定為該劇的「最終決定版」，在本輯中喬許獻唱了劇中最受歡迎的頌歌「Anthem」。而不僅侷限於紐約百老匯，喬許更重新詮釋源自法國的《悲慘世界》和《鐘樓怪人》，及瑞典ABBA合唱團創作的《克莉絲汀娜》，展現喬許掌握各種音樂風格的高超功力。

Multi-platinum recording artist Josh Groban releases a new album, 'Stages,' and for Groban fans, it's will exceed even the wildest of dreams! The album is a collection of some of the greatest musical theatre songs of all time. "Nothing has inspired me more in my life than the energy that is shared in a theatre when great songs and great art are on the stage," he says. "I wanted this album to pay tribute to those inspirations and memories." Recorded with producers Humberto Gatica and Bernie Herms in both Los Angeles and London's Abbey Road (with a 75-piece orchestra), 'Stages' features songs from Les Misérables ("Bring Him Home"); Rodgers & Hammerstein's Carousel ("You'll Never Walk Alone"); Stephen Sondheim's Sunday in the Park with George ("Finishing the Hat"), Sweeney Todd ("Not While I'm Around"), and Into the Woods ("Children Will Listen"); The Fantasticks ("Try to Remember"); A Chorus Line ("What I Did For Love"); Andrew Lloyd Weber's Phantom of the Opera ("All I Ask of You"), The Wizard of Oz ("Over the Rainbow"), and others. "'Stages' is an album I've wanted to make since freshman year as a Musical Theatre student at Carnegie Mellon," Groban says. "Having lived in New York City the last few years, seeing as much theatre as I could see, it became really inspiring to take this on. It was time." 'Stages' features three duets: Kelly Clarkson on "All I Ask of You," Audra McDonald for "If I Loved You" and trumpeter Chris Botti plays on "Old Devil Moon."
