彼耶特Pieter Wispelwey，大提琴演奏家，從小在荷蘭與多位大師習音樂，並曾到美國習樂，他的特別是能拉奏古巴洛克大提琴及現代的大提琴二種樂器，他的拉奏音樂感極佳，音樂性十足，又有音響性高超技巧，拉奏的曲目包括由巴洛克時期的巴哈到現代樂的舒尼特克，卡特及更現代的音樂曲，他曾得過伊利沙白大獎及1985和1992年荷蘭音樂大獎，他的無伴奏大提琴的巴哈及貝多芬大提琴及布拉姆斯等都有獨特的拉奏成熟詮釋。
本片他演奏舒曼二首大提琴奏曲，是音樂歷史中大提琴的必聽名曲，由奧地利室內樂團的伴奏，另加韓德密特的三首大提琴與鋼琴曲而彼耶特的拉奏可說是優秀得不得了。
