摘自 音樂時代-唱片購買指南 : 英國國教是因為政治的因素與羅馬教廷決裂，所以兩者其實並沒有太大的差異。從這張在Salisbury大教堂錄製的聖誕節音樂會，可以感受出英國國教音樂那股嚴峻堅忍的精神，與Salisbury大教堂素樸簡約的內部相呼應。音樂會本身分為四個部份，都是環繞著聖誕的主題：「天使報喜」、「曠野中的牧者」、「智者從遠方來」、「誕生」。朗誦聲、歌聲、銅管樂聲迴響在這座建於一二二零年的教堂中。（王正康）
