摘自 音樂時代-唱片購買指南 : 已故女高音阿琳 •奧格（Arleen Auger）算得上是美國近代最重要的聲樂家之一。她的音色柔美清澄，兼具有抒情與花腔的特質，早年以莫札特歌劇《 笛〉中「夜之后」一角崛起維也納國立歌劇院，尤其擅長演唱史特勞斯等人的作品，在宗教音樂、藝術歌曲等的錄音上亦有極佳之口碑。這張片子中主要引人入勝之處在於她以極為貼切之唱功，詮釋柯普蘭、浦浪克、古諾、舒伯特、杜納第、布瑞頓等二十一位古今作曲家的藝術歌曲作品，在全長近七十分鐘的錄音中，將她個人對這些千古經典情歌之神韻表達得淋漓盡致，稱得上是個人在曲風拓展上的一大代表作。錄音方面亦有不錯的發揮，配上伴麥家鮑德溫的相互呼應，使本片洋溢著無限的芳香。（宋修傑）
