Big band sensation Cab Calloway (portraying himself) becomes the interest of two womens' desires: his steady girlfriend Minnie (Jeni Le Gon) and his manager Nettie (Ida James). Jealous of Nettie's maneuvers, Minnie hires a rival clubowner to do away with Cab. Minnie later feels guilty and tries to prevent the killing.
