馬勒在自己的女兒還健在時，寫了這首告別「純真」的作品，沒想到一曲成識，
不久後女兒得了猩紅熱去世。費麗兒將感情投入，完全出家人對可能失去兒子的
不安，繼而予感實現時的驚愕。對於這種帶有悲劇命運的曲子，費雪兒刻劃得特
別深。毫無疑問的，費麗兒與華爾特合作的版本已經是以後想緣此曲的典範。
