摘自 音樂時代-唱片購買指南 : 巴比•麥菲林自小即接觸古典音樂，父親是美國大都會歌劇院第一位黑人男中音。他六歲就開始接受正統古典音樂訓練，後來也到茱莉亞音樂學院深造，再加上在爵士樂界深受Miles Davis、Keith Jarrett等大師的影響，創造出獨特的個人風格。這張專輯雖然收錄的是很常見的曲目，如莫札特小夜曲K.525、巴赫小提琴協奏曲（不過他以唱的代替獨奏小提琴）等，但處處可見新意。不管強弱對比、速度處理，甚至旋律的歌唱性處處有著天才般的創見。特別是在專輯中他又展現獨到的口技，隨著樂聲輕輕吟唱，美到極點！（王光哲）
