摘要註
Othello is a noble Moor in the service of the Duke of Venice. Iago, his lieutenant, is insanely jealous of the Moor's success and higher rank. Iago plots to exploit Othello's credulous nature to undermine his trust in Desdemona. Othello, completely consumed with jealousy through the work of Iago, goes to his wife's bedchamber and smothers her. When Othello learns of Iago's treachery, he wounds Iago in a fight, then kills himself.
