本片標題《OR》指涉多重涵義：二元系統、另翼Ａ或Ｂ、隱形圓疇與手術室。這是一種暴風雪中的白矇天狀態—我們遭受剝奪視見之處、無法認知 任何事物，不知身在何方亦生死無訊。蠢蛋一族透過本作探問生死驅力議題，帶領觀者尋求生存邊界，逼視無可迴避的終極意義境地。 本作品為西元1997年於日本東京演出的舞台紀錄攝影版，高谷史郎 (Shiro Takatani)導演、視覺剪輯，池田亮司 (Ryoji Ikeda)聲音剪輯。

「蠢蛋一族」(Dumb Type)創始團員之一及現任藝術總監，「蠢蛋一族」是個集體創作的團體，由一群視覺藝術、建築、音樂、電腦程式工程、寫作、戲劇、舞蹈等各領域的高手所 構成，作品呈現的型態極為多樣，包括裝置展、劇場、影音，以及印刷出版等。高谷史郎曾在?本龍一的歌劇 LIFE 中擔任影像總監。

Teiji Furuhashi is the founder of Dumb Type. Inspired by the deaths of his mother (cancer), brother (car accident) and lover (AIDS), OR explores the issues around the borders of life and death. Images of death, looked at from various view points, be it religious, philosophical, medical, cultural or emotional, are projected on a white, semicircle screen surrounding an also white, open stage, flooded in a flickering light. An advanced technique of combining electrical images, sounds, lighting and performers, Dumb Type's specialty, aims at switching off any of such intentions of grasping this mortal phenomenon, and bringing you into the white out.
