從1937年起，每年於美國麻州西部的檀格塢地區（Tanglewood），不僅是波士頓交響樂團固定的夏季演出場地，更是古典樂壇中重要的夏日音樂盛事「檀格塢音樂節」的舉辦地，豪華的演出與曲目，每年都吸引不計其數的愛樂者們前來參與盛會。
