本輯「探戈新世代」（新探戈 Tango Nuevo），不僅是向探戈音樂之父皮亞佐拉致敬，更是當今阿根廷探戈大師齊格勒（Pablo Ziegler）與美國鋼琴巨星歐萊利（Christopher O'Riley）精湛琴藝的展現，尤其是齊格勒曾為皮亞佐拉樂團的團員，參與大師對探戈音樂的改革。專輯中兩人以鋼琴激盪出最原汁原味的皮亞佐拉式探戈，令樂迷不自覺地墜入那迷人的風情中無法自拔。
發源於19世紀的阿根廷，混合著歐洲、非洲與南美洲當地音樂舞蹈的「探戈」，其奔放熱情的節奏、動人心弦的旋律，兩個世紀來仍誘惑著人們心中最原始的情感。在數百年的探戈歷史中，皮亞佐拉運用古典樂的和聲、對位、配器等技法，賦予「探戈」新的面貌，讓原本單為舞蹈用的樂曲，成為與古典樂比肩，獨立而精緻的音樂精品。
