次女高音狄杜娜朵Joyce DiDonato因2015年巴黎恐攻事件有感，以「戰爭與和平」為主題在當時企劃錄製新專輯。伴隨此主題，狄杜娜朵同時有更宏觀的願景，希望能藉此喚醒世人對於和平的追求，以及帶我們尋求「在這混亂的迷霧中，你要怎麼找到平靜？」的答案。這份影片是2017年六月在西班牙巴塞隆納利塞奧大劇院的演出實況。
2015年，發生在巴黎的恐怖攻擊讓美國次女高音狄杜娜朵興起策畫以「戰爭與和平」為主題的演出。希望以她所喜愛的音樂，喚醒人類繼續追求和平，並且在亂世中尋找平靜。構想成型後，狄杜娜朵不但在音樂會上演出，也在2016年出版同曲目唱片，獲得次年英國《留聲機》唱片大獎，並且以此拿下2017年德國回聲古典唱片大獎年度女聲樂家等肯定。這張影片是2017年六月在西班牙巴塞隆納利塞奧大劇院的演出實況。
在「戰爭」的部分，狄杜娜朵要表現的是人類面對戰爭的情緒，像是韓德爾神劇《耶弗他》中，民長耶弗他依誓必須以獨生女祭神時，妻子演唱的〈恐怖場景，悲嘆場景〉、蛇蠍美人阿格碧娜想盡辦法讓兒子尼祿成為羅馬帝國皇帝的〈我的思緒折磨我〉、描寫迦太基女王迪多與特洛伊英雄阿涅亞斯悲戀終至分手的悲歌〈當我長眠地下〉等。
在「和平」的部分，則是以《印第安女王》的〈他們告訴我你至高的力量〉開始，緊接著是舊約聖經達尼爾書中，清秀美麗的蘇珊娜因為堅貞自持，使上主的神讓達尼爾為她主持正義後，唱出的〈讓我冷靜下來…晶瑩溪流喃喃流過〉⋯⋯最後則是克麗奧佩脫拉在凱撒成功把自己推上女王的位置後，表達渴望和平的〈從暴風中歸來〉。
