來自加拿大的女長笛演奏家蘇珊.霍普(Susan Hoeppner)肆業於茱莉亞音樂院(The Juilliard School)，師承長笛大師朱利亞斯.貝克(Julius Baker)，貝克更以「跟我合作過最好的音樂家之一」來讚賞霍普，她更獲多個世界音樂權威報刊大力推崇包括《華盛頓郵報(The Washington Post)》：「你彷如在她的吹奏中聆聽到喁語(one can almost hear the words in her flute song)」、《紐約時報(The New York Times)》：「霍普小姐証實地能夠以最美妙的形態吹奏連音的短句(Miss Hoeppner proved that she can turn a legato phrase with the best of them)」，實力不用置疑。
