摘要註
"Pierre Monteux (1875-1964) was one of the pivotal figures in 20th-century music, having led the world premiere performances of such masterpieces as Stravinsky's Le sacre du printemps and Petrouchka, and Ravel's Daphnis et Chloé ... Monteux appeared as guest conductor with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in two separate seasons at Orchestra Hall, first in 1948, and then in 1961 (the season of the present video). He also had strong ties to the Ravina Festival, where he led the Orchestra in performances every summer between 1941 and 1961 (except 1958)."--Container.
