一棟建築之偉大，在於它承載無數風流人物的輝煌歷史，位於紐約曼哈頓的卡內基廳，自1891年5月5日柴可夫斯基在此指揮開幕音樂會以降，有名曲在此盛大首演，有新秀在此一鳴驚人，亦有大師在此締造傳奇。為紀念卡內基廳開幕一百二十五週年，SONY整理旗下包括RCA與Columbia時期的實況錄音，帶領樂迷重返卡內基廳的偉大榮光。
