摘自 博客來音樂館 網站 - 受Dizzy Gillespie賞識在爵士樂界嶄露頭角，1953-60年這段期間，Milt Jackson在Modern Jazz Quartet樂團的演出獲得樂迷們和批評家的一致讚賞。身為第一位投入Bebop領域的鐵琴家，長期以來Milt Jackson一直是樂迷大眾心目中的鐵琴大師，同時他的演奏也是MJQ最吸引人的地方，他在MJQ時期的作品常帶有藍調風味以及些許靈歌的色彩，但他自己另行組團錄製的唱片則呈現較強烈的節奏和更加華麗的個人色彩。
