摘自 百度百科 網站 : 莫妮卡柴德蘭 (Monica Zetterlund) 1937年出生於瑞典，不諳英語的她透過聆聽收音機和唱片自學，捕捉爵士的旋律、節奏和樂感，逐步穩紮歌唱實力，對她影響最深的歌手有爵士天后比莉哈樂黛 ( Billie Holiday) 和艾拉費茲潔拉 (Ella Fitzgerald)。
因為一句“你為什麼要唱別人的歌，而不唱出自己的生活？”她開始以瑞典語重新翻唱經典爵士歌曲，沒想到從此一炮而紅，不過在光鮮亮麗的舞台生活下，莫妮卡其實一直深受嚴重的脊椎側彎所苦。60歲時，她在一場流行搖滾音樂祭登台演出，以她獨有的爵士魅力，擄獲台下一票年輕搖滾聽眾的心，兩年後宣佈退休。莫妮卡在輪椅上度過人生最後幾年時光，2005年5月因煙蒂引發的火災，死於斯德哥爾摩的公寓。
