Roots of rap / Sugar Hill Records

館藏資訊

摘要註

In 1979 Joey Robinson, son of the owner of a small black music label, joined up with Master Gee and Wonder Mike, to record "Rapper's Delight" under the moniker Sugar Hill Gang, and as they say, an industry was born. "Rapper's delight" initially sold over 10 million copies, opening the doors through which all rap music followed. This film follows the development of hip hop through the early 80s to the present meaningful, reality-based hip-hop of today. It includes five performances by rap artists which present the evolution of this musical genre. 黑人音樂唱片公司 Sugarhill 的創立與經營, 為饒舌音樂尋根
