摘自唱片聖經 : 巴赫這首「弦樂慢板」由他的弦樂四重奏OP.11的慢板樂章改編而成，自托斯卡尼尼擔任首錄音以來即廣受喜愛，是充滿浪漫且旋律優美的曲子。馬利納和聖馬丁學會管弦樂團的演奏具有強烈的明暗對比及說服力，且錄音亦相當出色；解析力或許不是很強，但聲音豐潤，是值得推薦的版本。
