摘自 5大唱片 網站 : 這份錄影是今年在柯芬園皇家歌劇院重新採用佩里製作的演出，美國次女高音狄杜娜朵當然是這整份演出的核心，她精彩的花腔，配上波蘭花腔女低音艾娃帕朵，可以說是當代絕配。 「灰姑娘」是馬斯奈在十九世紀最後一年一八九九年推出的歌劇，當時五十七歲的馬斯奈對媒體宣布，這將會是他最後一部歌劇，不過，事實上，他一直到過世那年都還在創作歌劇，陸續還有埃及豔后、唐吉軻德、凱魯賓等傑作問世。這齣劇在近代演出的機會並不高，早前只有美國次女高音封史黛德留過錄音。但一般認為，此劇中馬斯奈展現了成功的幽默感，更對於引導動機手法的使用更為精妙絕倫，很有華格納之風。此劇首演時正當馬斯奈事業最高潮，大為轟動，第一次就加演了五十場，但在二十世紀四零年代以後，隨著馬斯奈歌劇在大西洋兩岸都不再受到喜愛，此劇也跟著被人遺忘，一直到八零年代初，才再度來到歐洲接連於布魯賽爾、列日、日內瓦等地演出此劇，之後一直要到兩千年以後，才忽然受到重視，從零三到一一年的八年間，分別在美國、盧森堡、紐約、德勒斯登、布里斯本、溫哥華等地，有超過十次不同的製作，而美國次女高音狄杜娜朵更從零六年就加入導演洛倫佩里的製作，是近幾年來獨霸灰姑娘一角的關鍵人物，沒有她，這齣灰姑娘就沒有今日受歡迎的程度。這份錄影是今年在柯芬園皇家歌劇院重新採用佩里製作的演出，當時皇家歌劇院已經有超過一百年沒有演出此劇了。狄杜娜朵當然是這整份演出的核心，她精彩的花腔，配上波蘭花腔女低音艾娃帕朵，可以說是當代絕配。剛在今年因為專輯「女聲？男聲！」贏得葛萊美獎最佳古典聲樂獨唱專輯，並被留聲機雜誌選入名人堂的狄杜娜朵，憑著自己獨特的次女高音和劇碼，在現今的歌劇世界，已經穩立天后的寶座。
