摘自 維基百科 網站 : 《冬天的猴子》是法國作家安托萬·布隆丁1959年的小說。它講述了一個改過自新的酗酒者的故事，他在諾曼第經營著一家小旅館，並承諾妻子不再喝酒。為了支持一個客人，一個因為第一次見到女兒而感到緊張的男人，他講了一些戰爭故事，開始喝酒以鼓舞勇氣。 An alcoholic, Albert makes a promise to his wife that he'll never drink again if they survive a German attack during World War II. He then settles down to a quiet life running a small hotel and suffers scorn from his former drinking buddies. Years later a stranger comes to the village who is a haunting reflection of Albert in his youth. Albert joins the stranger in a drinking binge, then returns to his daily routine. The stranger claims Albert's daughter and leaves the village a wiser man.
