摘自 佳佳唱片 網站 : 近年來，爵士音樂有一股新的復興方向，演唱風格也不是那麼「基本教義派」、演奏不艱澀、不炫技；相反的，走向抒情、懷舊與跨界的路線，因此演唱者所散發的個人魅力，吸引了許多原來不聽爵士樂的聽眾。黛安娜．克瑞兒、諾拉．瓊斯、荷莉．柯爾、史黛．西肯特、珍．夢海、李敬子以及麗莎．愛克坦，都可算是這一波「都會爵士」潮流的佼佼者。 也許是天賦使然，來自瑞典的麗莎．愛克坦，是繼阿巴合唱團(ABBA)、王牌合唱團(Ace of Bace)與羊毛衫樂團(The Cardigans)之後，廣為世界所知的瑞典籍歌手，兼有羊毛衫樂團女主唱Nina Persson的童稚與碧玉(Bjork)的俏皮，麗莎．愛克坦還有著低沉而沙啞的嗓音，甜美而富有磁性，讓人一聽就上了癮。從1994年出道的第一張以瑞典語演唱的爵士專輯，就締造了超高的銷售紀錄，成為家喻戶曉的超級巨星，那一年她才23歲。接下來錄了2張專輯之後，麗莎．愛克妲終於推出第一張用英語演唱多首懷舊的爵士樂標準曲（Standard）的專輯《When did you leave heaven 何時離開天堂》，引起歐美樂壇的轟動。 雖然專業的爵士樂評家嫌她音域窄、聲音乾澀，比不上黑人與生俱來的本錢，但是聽眾聽歸聽、買歸買，她的唱片一樣賣得嚇嚇叫。
