摘自 音樂時代-唱片購買指南 : 雖然涵蓋了相當長的時間，但所有的曲子都呈現蘇俄宗教音樂一貫的特質：優美，和諧而簡潔，與歐陸繁複綿長、結構龐大的宗教音樂完全不同。這可能有二個原因：蘇俄的宗教儀式禁止使用器樂，完全以人聲之美讚頌上帝；同時大部分的聖歌是以讚美詩（Psalm）和雅歌（Canticle）為歌詞所寫成的眾讚歌（Hymn），和天主教喜歡由聖經章節中取材（如格雷果聖歌）不同。在夜深人靜時刻細細品味這些古斯拉夫語的誦歎，彷佛宗教音樂不再是遙不可及的安慰，而是活生生的感動。（陳永辰）
