摘自 音樂時代-唱片購買指南 : 這張錄音曲目均是年代久遠的音樂劇（歌舞）電影作品，比起我們熟悉的「屋頂上的提琴手」、「真善美」、「國王與我」等還古老陌生。這些影片的一大特色是豪華綺麗的場景，一副歌舞昇平、薄海騰歡的熱鬧，至於音樂則多是標準的美式爵士風舞曲。本碟號稱是康澤爾與辛辛那提的第五十張紀念版，容或如此，才以這些別具歷史意義的黃金年代歌舞電影樂曲選輯紀念之。綜而聽之，許多當時的樂曲都可以讓人點頭附合輕快節拍，像極了讀者文摘的風格：光明、積極、健康。（李俊昌）
