法蘭克辛納屈是美國近代流行歌唱界最長青且最受到歡迎的歌手，他前後一共獲得一九九五、六六、六五、五九和五八年最佳傳統流行演唱人、最佳年度專輯等多項葛萊美獎。
出生於一九一五年十二月十二日，雙親是意大利移民，法蘭克辛納屈小時候的偶像是平克勞斯貝，在高中時第一次參加克勞斯貝的演唱會後，就立志要成為歌手。在專科還沒畢業時，辛納屈就輟學開始歌唱，並在三九年因緣得獲賞識，開始在紐約駐唱。之後他遇到樂隊領班湯米多西，成為聞名全美的第一個事業巔峰，這時正值二次大戰，辛納屈的歌聲隨著收音機傳到全球美軍駐紮的基地，並成為所有美國將士思鄉情懷的投射對象，他也從此奠下美國經典歌手的地位。
對許多英語系國家的人而言，他在二十世紀流行樂壇的地位，只有平克勞斯貝、貓王和披頭四可以並比。他前後長達六十年的演藝生涯，始終深受愛戴，從三Ｏ年代開始投身爵士演唱開始，他紅遍好萊塢和未來的流行樂壇。
這份錄音收錄了他從一九四四到五四年投身爵士演唱階度的代表作，片中與他合作的包括著名的爵士編曲家Nelson Riddle、領班Axel Stordahl等人。所演唱的歌曲則以著名的百老匯和爵士名曲為主，像是「My Funny Valentine」、「Someone To Watch Over Me」、「Begin The Beguine」、「You’ll Never Walk Alone」等。
