聽費雪狄斯考在這場音樂會中以如何的專注力，讓聽者和自己在一時之間，忘記眼前演唱者種種外在條件，進入了他用聲音和表情所形塑，故事中的十七歲初戀少年的心情。而這次演唱更因為有鋼琴家艾森巴赫的助陣而更顯難忘。
在一九九二年演唱這份「美麗的磨坊少女」時，費雪狄斯考已經登台演唱有三十年之久，他從三十歲不到的青年人，在二次大戰的戰俘營裡演唱舒伯特的冬之旅，到當時，一頭黑髮已然變白，鶴顏之下的嗓音也不再如以往清新嘹亮，但是，聽他在這場音樂會中以如何的專注力，讓聽者和自己在一時之間，忘記眼前演唱者種種外在條件，進入了他用聲音和表情所形塑，故事中的十七歲初戀少年的心情。而這次演唱更因為有鋼琴家艾森巴赫的助陣而更顯難忘，他在鋼琴中的抑揚頓挫，捉到了和費雪狄斯考同語言的口吻，沒有造做的線條或節奏，流暢中處處流露出他對這份以自己母語為歌詞的作品的共鳴與通透理解，費雪狄斯考在來到巴黎做這份演唱之前，已經有許久未曾演唱這套聯篇歌集，因為長久以來，這份歌集已經被限制在年輕歌唱家的專屬領域，因為他們較清亮的嗓音，用來飾演故事中初戀的男主角似乎有著較大的「表象」說服力。但費雪狄斯考在經過長久的鑽研後，決定用另一種不靠表象來魅惑人，而以他對歌詞的揣摩和處理來說服聽者，也才有這份演唱會的成形。在片中加收的段落，是費雪狄斯考指導另一位男中音演唱他拿手的「費加洛婚禮」中的阿瑪維瓦公爵的演唱和演技。這段大師班的片段，讓我們看到費雪狄斯考在這個角色上著墨有多深，在這首詠歎調中，他讓我們看到他如何將這位充滿了階級偏見、自私、好色、帶有舊時代貴族氣息的公爵，化入歌唱技巧之中。
