由浦朗克在作品發表會的幽默自我介紹開場，這份紀錄片，紀錄了這位被詩人考克多稱為「半是豬玀半是聖徒」的作曲家珍貴的身影和談話，這整份演出選在浦朗克六十大壽當年舉辦，有為他祝壽之意。在浦朗克逗得眾人開懷大笑的開場白之後，我們先是聽到長笛大師朗帕爾登場，與浦朗克合作他的長笛奏嗚曲、然後浦朗克又接受觀眾的發問，接著則是由浦朗克親自介紹由他一手發掘來主演他歌劇「聖衣會修女對話錄」的女高音丹妮絲杜瓦登場，她演唱了浦朗克為她量身打造的三部歌劇：「聖衣會修女對話錄」、「人的聲音」和「德瑞莎的乳房」中的三段詠歎調，在最後一曲中，浦朗克更破例地出飾該劇中沙文作風的丈夫與杜瓦唱對手戲。
這之後是另一場於一九六一年拍演唱會現場，這次是由杜瓦演唱兩首選自浦朗克歌曲集「最矮的一根稻草」中的兩首歌曲，同樣由浦朗克先於演唱前介紹並擔任鋼琴伴奏。這之後是接連幾場由法國國家廣播公司所錄製經典的浦朗克作品電視演出現場，第一場是由浦朗克親自擔任第一鋼琴的雙鋼琴協奏曲，此曲的攝影鏡頭非常忠實地依照樂譜呈現出浦朗克彈奏鋼琴的雙手，是經過精密排練和分鏡的製作，在雙鋼琴合奏的場面，也巧妙地以重疊的方式同時呈現兩位鋼琴家各據鏡頭兩邊的畫面。
