被所有愛樂者與評論家封為「世紀小提琴大師』的海飛茲，其完美的技巧和精湛的詮釋技藝早已成為所有小提琴家所企盼的最高標準。他主要的錄音大部分都在RCA，但在1944年和1946年之間，他被美國DECCA獨家簽下。在這短暫的期間海菲茲所灌錄的音樂會安可曲的版權現在都屬於DG。
海飛茲在這段期間所密集灌錄的曲目，範圍相當廣泛，從古典到爵士都有。甚至還有兩首與平克勞斯貝的精彩合作錄音的赫曼‧羅爾的名曲「Where My Caravan Has Rested」，以及高達的「搖籃曲」。從這裏不但可以看出大師私密喜好的趣味軌跡，更珍貴的是，這些錄音早已絕版數十年。此次以全新轉錄技術修復母帶，對於超過60年的歷史錄音而言，音質的優異程度真是讓人喜出望外。同時這也是首度以低價雙CD首度回饋愛樂者，身為大師樂迷的你，豈能再度錯過？
