The violin saw the light of day in Cremona, during the 16th century, in the workshop of genius craftsman, Andrea Amati. His felow citizens number some of the greatest stringed-instrument makers of all-time : the Amati family, Guarneri family and the master of them all, Antonio Stradivari.
