摘自 佳佳唱片 網站 : 這套五十張CD限量版套裝專輯，是為要慶賀鋼琴家阿胥肯納吉自一九六三年三月與笛卡簽約合作屆滿五十週年所集結。錄音史上大概沒有幾位音樂家能與唱片公司結盟五十年：魯賓斯坦和霍洛維茲都跳槽過好幾家唱片公司，海飛茲也一樣，披頭四很早就解散，因此沒機會撐到五十年，而卡拉絲演唱生涯到第十年就已幾乎中止。所以現階段可能只有阿胥肯納吉如此綿長的演奏生命讓他能與笛卡締造五十年的合作紀錄。再加上他鋼琴家與指揮兼備的才華，使他的音樂境界更為寬廣，當然也增加了許多錄音的機會。 五十年期間，阿胥肯納吉從柴可夫斯基鋼琴大賽冠軍開始一路轉變，先在六零年代成為笛卡當家培植的鋼琴巨星，所錄曲目從莫札特鋼琴協奏曲全集到貝多芬鋼琴奏鳴曲全集、蕭邦鋼琴作品全集、舒曼作品全集，到幾乎所有重要鋼琴作曲家都探索完畢之後，他接著嘗試室內樂的演出與錄音，然後逐步轉向鑽研指揮，為笛卡錄下許多重要的交響和管弦音樂經典，最後他選擇在晚年回到鋼琴本業，開始研發俄國罕見作品以介紹給世人。 這套產品就收錄了阿胥肯納吉上述的諸多音樂面相，包括獨奏鋼琴家、室內樂鋼琴家（和小提琴家帕爾曼、大提琴家哈瑞爾、女高音索德絲坦）、指揮家等的重要錄音。最特別的之處便是收錄了他生平第一次灌錄的拉赫曼尼諾夫第三號鋼琴協奏曲，這是他和Anatole Fistoulari合作的經典，日後阿胥肯納吉曾為笛卡再度灌錄過此曲兩次，皆是該曲不可多得的首選版本。
