目前仍然在世的爵士傳奇大師歐涅．柯曼(Ornette Coleman)，本張專輯是他的名作。在現在樂壇中，追隨大師腳步的年輕後起新秀陸續嶄露頭角，更鞏固大師在前衛爵士樂界的崇高地位。
本張是他與倫敦交響樂團合奏的話題專輯，更是歐涅．柯曼的首張交響樂作品，演奏樂譜複雜詳細，頁數竟多達167頁。專輯在1972年4月，於英國Abbey Road錄音室進行錄製。自從上市發行以來，雖然已經歷經30年以上，至今光芒依舊，絲毫不減。（1972年錄音）
