收錄了爵士第一女伶(Ella Fitzgerald)傳說中的那場卡內基音樂堂演唱會。因為白內障而傳出可能引退的艾拉奇蹟式的復出，奇克．韋伯(Chick Webb)樂團合作，從出道暢銷作「A-Tisket, A-Tasket」到當時最暢銷的「What’s going on」，可以說是艾拉集大成之作的演唱會。
成為1973年「新港爵士節Newport Jazz Festival」最佳演出的這場演唱會，一定會成為揚名歷史的名唱片，並永遠持續的發光下去。 (1973年錄音)
