Mozart's concert arias were written for a variety of purposes: some were intended for recital purposes and others as substitutions for arias in his own or other operas. All, however, display the remarkable beauty, depth of feeling, and limitless musical invention that mark the composer's finest vocal writing. Convenient and affordable, this compilation of arias for soprano comprises a dozen of Mozart's best and loveliest works in the genre, including "Ah, lo previdi," K.272; "Voi avete un cor fedele," K.217; and "Chi sà, chi sà, qual sia," K.582.
