摘自 博客萊書店 網站 : 在爵士樂史上很少有人能夠像Joe Zawinul這樣，利用電子合成樂器製造出如此人性化的聲響，出生在奧地利的Zawinul早先學習古典音樂，1952年與另一位薩克斯風手Hans Koller合作並開啟他對爵士樂的興趣。1969年加入Miles Davis樂團，並逐漸加重電子合成樂器在其作品中的份量，1971年他離開了樂團並與薩克斯風手Wayne Shorter合組了一個重要的團體“Weather Report”，這個樂團成為70年代融合爵士樂中最具實力與代表性的樂團，Zawinul最大的貢獻則在於為這個樂團確立了創作的路線。
