奇克．科瑞亞(Chick Corea)、史丹利．克拉克(Stanley Clarke)、艾爾.迪.米歐拉(Al Di Meola)、蘭尼．懷特(Lenny White)等4人皆是作曲家、演奏家、伴奏家，也能主導引領演奏。
「Return to Forever」足以表彰4人的獨特個性。4位大師的技巧融合不僅完成度高，絕妙的演奏技巧，令人拍案叫絕。這是奇克．科瑞亞回歸木吉他之前、「回歸永恆樂團」後期的名作。
