A documentary about Ted Shawn, often called the Father of modern dance, and about the first U.S. all-male dance company that he founded and directed in the 1930's. The film shows interview segments with eight of the original Shawn dancers meeting at a fifty year reunion. The interviews are interspersed with old photographs and archival footage taken in the early 1930's of Shawn and the men dancers at Jacobs Pillar dance theater, Berkshire, Mass., which began in 1933.
