摘自 音樂時代-唱片購買指南 : 偉大的十九世紀末大提琴家朴佩 （David Popper），不僅本身是位慢秀的大提琴手，更創作了不少小型的樂曲及一首留袭曲。本鶴收錄他一些極為著名的曲子。這些曲子除能感現大提營樑爛的技術外，更有著美麗動人的旋律。大多數的大提琴家多少都演奏過朴佩的作品。他的小品更是對演奏者技巧與音樂一項挑戰。曾與穆特合作演出布拉姆斯小提琴與大提琴雙協奏曲的大提琴家Meneses，盡情揮灑其豪邁性格與富於遐想及乾淨、俐落的音色，奏起跳弓來輕鬆自在，充滿詼諧逗趣的風格。整張片子聽下來似乎具有炫技的色彩，不過其實Meneses並不刻意追求炫技，而是略帶保守、忠實地將朴佩的曲子呈現出來。（謝忠良）
