摘自 博客來音樂館 網站 : 無論在歌劇或是音樂劇裡，男中音的角色不外乎是慈祥的父親，或是不討喜的大壞蛋。歌劇的戲劇與音樂張力，往往來自這些反派角色。因而特菲爾一口氣詮釋十多個歌劇、音樂劇裡的壞蛋角色，讓愛樂者領略壞男人的魅力。 一開始就是「梅菲斯特」這個最有名的魔鬼。在十九世紀兩部以歌德《浮士德》為藍本的歌劇裡，不約而同把重點放在「梅菲斯特」，甚至包益多讓他凌駕了「浮士德」， 成為主角，他以〈我是否認一切的人〉這首曲子，向「浮士德」自我介紹，認為邪惡源自於善良，科學導至懷疑。古諾則讓魔鬼在狂歡的人群中唱出〈小金牛之歌〉，點出世人對金錢的渴望。韋伯《魔彈射手》裡的壞獵人「卡斯帕」聽命於魔鬼，他成功把主角騙到狼谷，唱出邪惡的〈安靜，不要聽別人的警告〉，宣告「地獄已經纏住你」。 龐開利歌劇《喬宮達》裡的「巴納巴」在戲裡對女主角糾纏不清，龐開利在第一幕給他一段〈喔，紀念碑〉獨白，向大家表明自己「有多壞」：不但充滿野心，還是個間諜。 《托斯卡》與《費德里奧》裡的警察局長與典獄長是以正義為外衣，骨子裡卻壞到底的壞蛋。一個利用職權弄到朝思暮想的女人，另一個則非法禁錮清白的敵人。在被他殺害，化為厲鬼的石像威嚇要把他拖入地獄時，僕人「萊波雷洛」已經兩腿發軟，花心浪子「唐喬望尼」仍然不認錯。本輯最後一首曲子就是這段張力十足的男中音三重唱，三個角色全部由特菲爾演唱。
