摘自 博客來音樂館 網站 : 山下洋輔 Yosuke Yamashita 1942年出生於東京，1969年成立三重奏，1974年開始巡迴於歐洲，1979年在新港爵士音樂節的登台是山下洋輔首次在美國成功的演出。這個無貝斯的三重奏於1983年解散，從獨奏到與大樂團的合作，山下洋輔努力拓展自己的音樂視野，至今已有超過50張的錄音作品。師法比爾．艾文斯、塞隆尼斯．孟克，卻以西索．泰勒對山下洋輔影響最為深遠，鍵盤上力道的宣洩成為他最為人津津樂道的表演手法。1988年山下洋輔與貝斯手Cecil McBee、鼓手Pheeroan akLaff再組團是為山下洋輔紐約三重奏，多場世界性的巡迴表演，加上全球發行的錄音作品超過10張。
