摘自 佳佳唱片 網站 : 提到電影配樂大師詹姆斯‧霍納，許多人馬上聯想到的，絕對是1997年電影鐵達尼號主題曲「My Heart Will Go On/我心永恆」，配上席琳‧狄翁蕩氣迴腸的演唱，當年幾乎所有人類都能哼上幾句，霍納當年也憑藉鐵達尼號獲得當年奧斯卡最佳原創音樂獎及最佳原創歌曲獎。生涯共獲得8次奧斯卡提名，2度獲獎，霍納有名的當然不只鐵達尼號，還有包括美國鼠壇(Somewhere Out There)、真愛一世情、異形2、美麗心靈、阿凡達等等，都是霍納著名的作品。天妒英才，霍納2015年6月22日自駕小飛機於南加州森林墜毀身亡，享年61歲。 霍納5歲開始習琴，曾於英國皇家音樂學院求學，學院派出身的霍納雖貴為電影音樂大師，對於古典作品的創作也是充滿熱忱。這份專輯主要收錄霍納為四支法國號及交響樂團所譜寫的協奏曲「拼貼」，由休士頓交響樂團及國際法國號協會共同委託創作，霍納學生時期也曾學過法國號，對於法國號的性能與音色有著相當地瞭解，「拼貼」於2015年3月27日於倫敦首演，是他生前發表的最後作品，曲中利用四支法國號營造出遼闊山巔的壯闊之情，相當感人動聽。專輯另外加收多首霍納著名電影主題，都是相當動聽的音樂。 "Collage is the last finished work by Oscar-winning composer James Horner, premiered and recorded under his personal supervision just weeks before his death.
