摘自 博客來音樂館 網站 : 伯恩斯坦指揮的馬勒交響曲一直是他重要的音樂成就，在這些現場演出實況錄音裡，伯恩斯坦始終傳達出充沛的活力與熱情，使音樂達到整體的效果。雖然伯恩斯坦在速度上有些地方過於強調，有些地方過於緩慢，這種特點在第九號交響曲裡特別明顯，但是卻讓音樂的整體感更加豐富。在《大地之歌》裡，伯恩斯坦很罕見的採用了男高音與男中音，但是卻栩栩如生的傳達出獨樹一格的內在情感。維也納愛樂充份呼應了伯恩斯坦的激情，這是一套偉大的音樂家對於另一位偉大音樂家的獨白，是不朽的成就。
