這是賈第納爵士在西元兩千年的《巴哈清唱劇朝聖之旅》十二張現場實況
錄音,地點在米蘭的聖馬可教堂。他在這次實況錄音裡選擇了四首清唱劇
演出,都用在主顯節(Epiphany)之後的第三個禮拜日演出。這些作品都
是巴哈在一七二三年與新婚妻子一同來到萊比錫,任職於聖湯瑪斯教堂時
所寫。這些清唱劇顯然比起其他同類作品要短了許多,據傳原因是因為主
顯節之後正是冬季,而萊比錫的冬天非常寒冷,清唱劇的演唱由兒童合唱
團負責,孩子們經常被冷得瑟縮發抖。巴哈為了讓這些小孩子可以早點離
開,於是刻意縮短了曲子的長度。這裡收錄的BWV73與BWV111是分別在
隨後的兩年所寫。而稍後的 BWV156,則寫於巴哈痛失兩子的悲傷時刻,
可以聽到巴哈最深沈感人的情感宣洩。
