美國小提琴巨匠伊薩克．帕爾曼今年(2015)8月31日要歡度70歲生日了，為慶祝大師生日快樂，DG特地將帕爾曼自1968到2001年於DG與DECCA所錄製的全部25張專輯，重新以原始封面出版這套精美的25CD大全集。 錄音中最早一份來自1968年為DECCA所錄製的布拉姆斯法國號三重奏，當年塔克威爾甫離開倫敦交響首席法國號職位，同年便與帕爾曼及阿胥肯納吉合作布拉姆斯這首深刻感人的浪漫派作品，接著70年代與長期夥伴阿胥肯納吉錄下的貝多芬小提琴奏鳴曲全集，直到今日都是樂迷首選的企鵝指南三星戴花名盤。1978年，帕爾曼在小澤征爾及波士頓交響合作錄製DG的第一份錄音：「貝爾格與史特拉汶斯基的小提琴協奏曲」，帕爾曼甜美且十足歌唱性的琴音，為這兩闕冷冽20世紀大作增添動人韻味。1982年帕爾曼與史坦、祖克曼及明茲三位同是猶太裔的小提琴家，一人一曲合作錄下維瓦第四季，堪稱佳話；1983年起與巴倫波因展開莫札特成熟期小提琴奏鳴曲全曲計畫，同樣是同曲目的佼佼者，更不用提及與祖克曼共演為同曲立下難以超越標竿的莫札特交響協奏曲，經典名盤真是族繁不及備載。 2015年下半年帕爾曼將推出與DG睽違近15年的最新專輯，曲目為佛瑞與理查史特勞斯奏鳴曲，這套25CD大全集正是迎接此大碟的最佳序禮。
